Lolo Jones, who was the winner of the USA as well as the World championships in hurdle events in 2013, has only reached this position by putting in a lot of work and perseverance. Jones, who was born into a family of no mothers with five children in poverty and hardship as a youngster, experienced an extremely challenging childhood. Her mother was always in motion, and had even lived in the basement of a church for some duration. Jones was required to relocate to a different school each year up until her time in high school due to this sporadic lifestyle.
